Creator-Owned Focus
Foundation Comics exclusively publishes creator-owned material. We do not contract creators; our sole interest is in publishing original content where you retain all rights. Please refrain from submitting any work that features pre-existing characters. We also do not accept AI-generated artwork.

No Page Rates:
As a publisher of creator-owned properties, Foundation Comics does not pay page rates. We take a small flat fee from the published books, and the responsibility for dividing the remaining payment among the creative team members lies with the creators.

Adaptability and Collaboration:
While your proposal is the starting point, things may evolve before reaching the printed page. We may suggest changes to an awkward or unwieldy book title or an unreadable logo. In some instances, we have assisted with logo design, character redesigns, and cover sketches. However, no changes will ever be made without the creator’s explicit approval.

For Artists:
We welcome samples of inking, pencilling, lettering, or coloring. These samples will be kept on file, and we may contact you if a suitable opportunity arises. If your art-only submission is not kept on file, you will not receive a response. Crucially, DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL ART, as your work will not be returned.

For Writers:
We only accept proposals that meet the specifications outlined in the “Proposal Requirements” section (see previous turn). Please do not send storyboards, scripts, notes, or manuscripts. Any submission other than a conforming proposal will be automatically declined.
